Science,
Metaphysics, and Magick
a weekend workshop with Starweaver
April 25 and 26, $110
at Ardantane near Jemez Springs
The
revelations of modern science often
seen more "magical" and extraordinary
than the strangest imaginings of our
prescientific predecessors. Modern
ideas like the fluidity of space and
time in Relativity theory, or the
interconnectedness of observation and
reality in Quantum Mechanics, seem to
cry out for interpretation in spiritual
or occult terms. Not all approaches to
connecting science and spirituality are
equally credible, however. In this
class, we sort though some of the
scientific concepts and look at what
they imply (and do not imply) about
metaphysics and magick. Scientific
concepts will be presented with
considerable care, but the
presentations are accessible to people
with little or no scientific
background. Creative activities, play,
and discussion are used to explore and
develop the key ideas.

When the
Moon is Full
a weekend workshop with Starweaver
June 6 and 7, $110
at Ardantane near Jemez Springs
The
Full Moon is a time of great potency
for the practice of witchcraft and
other forms of Pagan magic. Intimately
connected with the Goddess and her
mysteries, the Moon's energy is primary
for many modern witches.
This
workshop provides intensive training in
making use of the Full Moon's energy in
the context of magic and ritual. We
will learn how the energy of the Moon
shifts with the cycle of the seasons,
how to perform effective Full Moon
magic alone or with a group, and how
the contrasting energies of Goddess and
God (Moon and Sun) can lend their power
to magical work. This workshop is
intended for those who have already
taken up witchcraft, Wicca, or a
similar Pagan magical
practice.

Tarot for
the Spirit
a weekend workshop with Starweaver
October 17 and 18, $110
at Ardantane near Jemez Springs
This
class is intended for people who are
already comfortable reading tarot for
themselves or others, and would like to
go deeper into the symbolism of the
cards.
The class
explores tarot as a
spiritual/psychological system, using
concepts from the Renaissance, Occult,
and Modern periods of tarot
interpretation. The relationship of the
tarot to qabalah and astrology is
explored in depth. The major arcana,
court cards, and number cards are each
studied in detail, as subsystems of the
tarot. A range of experiential
exercises make connections between the
symbolic content of the cards and one's
personal, intuitive
responses.
Learn to
tap the potential of the tarot as a
multi-purpose spiritual tool, and
enrich your divination practice.
