* This appears to be identical with 'Bronze Beauty Van Tubergen'. Antoine Hoog, who named and distributed "Antiope", concurs that they are likely to be the same cultivar.
** These were reported as triploid by Michael Hoog (ASI Yearbook 1959), who subsequently published a correction stating that all three are diploids with 2n=21. The diploid counts for 'Dardanus' and 'Thor' were confirmed by Freeman Yendall (ASI Yearbook 1970).
