Along
Some Strip of Herbage Strewn...
I've
loved gardening all my life. Of late, it has become
something of a spiritual practice, watching things
grow, caring for them, and experiencing the cycles
of the land and the seasons. I favor naturalisatic
landscapes; even when I am growing many flowers and
vegetables, they will be found scattered together
in irregular drifts, with winding paths and native
vegetation intermingling with them.
This
column is not primarily a place for "gardening
tips", although those will come up from time to
time. Rather, I hope to share with you my
appreciation for the living Earth and my
relationship with her.
