The
Major Arcana of the Tarot as a Map for Spiritual
Growth
The
tarot was my first love among spiritual practices,
and has been my guide and friend for many years.
More than a divination tool, I see it as a map of
the spiritual landscape we all share.
I have
always been fascinated by the connections that have
been made between tarot and qabalah, but the
systems that have been proposed by various
occultists have left me unsatisfied. Instead, I
have my own idiosyncratic system for relating the
major arcana and the Tree of Life. The articles
presented here on the major arcana cards explore
this system of symbolism, as well as the more
convention meanings.
I
don't use fancy esoteric terminology in these
articles, and no knowledge of qabalah is needed to
appreciate them. I hope you enjoy this personal
perspective on the cards as spiritual
guides.
